chum in the water

“I want you to know that the Shark, being very old and suffering from asthma and heart trouble, was obliged to sleep with his mouth open. Because of this, Pinocchio was able to catch a glimpse of the sky filled with stars, as he looked up through the open jaws of his new home.”
-Carlo Collodi

Where do gangs and other deviant groups get their members from? Are they sociopathic kids? Are they a bunch of blood thirsty lunatics craving human blood?

Rarely.

The fields are ripe for the harvest as the quote goes. There is a melting pot of young people who are floating in the waters of society waiting to be devoured by the sharks of humanity. Like Pinocchio wanting to have a real home, to be a little boy who is loved, too many of our children are exiled to a life of wooden abandonment.

Where do the hunters, the leaders of hate groups, find their prey?

Thousands of kids in foster care, abandoned by the people who are supposed to care for them more than anyone…their parents. Thousands of abused kids abandoned by the so called system that gives people who commit tax evasion and fraud more prison time than child molesters. Politicians who are creating “committees” to address “childhood obesity” rather than the rape of our children by human monsters. Childhood obesity is a parenting problem, not a McDonald’s problem. How can we spend thousands of dollars on fighting a problem that should be dealt with by parents? Politicians are more concerned with what looks good than they are at addressing what looks so bad. The abuse and rape of our kids.

Kids are abandoned every day by the people who are supposed to be there for them. And when they are, it is the parasites of society that seek them out.

If you will not be there for these kids someone else will be.

We wrap ourselves in ballgames, reality shows, and lotto tickets. While our kids are wrapped up in abuse, neglect, and hate. Our priorities are about feeding ourselves with the junk food of entertainment while allowing the sharks of society to feed on kids who are floating in a sea of loss, like chum waiting to be eaten by predatory leaders of hate groups.

Where do these kids come from? Where do hate groups get their members?

Often it is right next door.

I see movie stars fighting for their “causes” like global warming and saving the seals. I see people like Pamela Anderson complaining about the inhumane treatment of animals as she walks the red carpet in her $2000 leather pumps. I hear the drone of politicians bellyaching about anything and everything for votes except the rape of our children.

And none of them even notice the sharks.

They cannot hear the cries of our children…

If you will not give me a home. A gang will.
If you will not give me comfort, a bottle will.
If you will not give me shelter, I will find myself in the arms of an abuser.
If you will not clothe me, I will wrap myself in self destruction.
If you will not feed me, I will starve seeking attention.
If you will not guide me, I will disappear into the system.
If you will not reach out to me, I will drown in despair.

And the sharks will be waiting.

If you will not love me, I will continue to hate myself.
If you will not hold me, I will embrace the darkness.
If you will not cleanse me, I will be swallowed by the obscene.
If you will not teach me, I will learn from the worst.
If you will not give me light, I will wilt away.
If you will not take me in, I will die out here.
If you will not take my hand, I will wander into a jungle.

And the lions will be waiting.

If you will not give me a name, I will remain faceless.
If you will not give me a hope, I will lose my faith.
If you will not offer me a kind word, I will only remember the yelling.
If you will not set me free, I will find a prison waiting for me.
If you will not heal my wounds, I will die from the infections of life.
If you will not raise me from this abyss, I will suffocate in this grave.
If you will not take me in, I will stay lost.
If you will not catch me, I will keep on falling looking for rescue.

And no one will be waiting.

a cup of coffee with the devil

“We don`t know whether they`re trustworthy or not because we`ve never had even a cup of coffee with them and haven`t talked to them.”
- Mark Perry co-director of Conflicts Forum

Maybe Perry should lay off the caffeine or crack or whatever he is on. He suggests we “have a cup of coffee” with Hezbollah, a terrorist group that made history long before al Qaeda. A group responsible for suicide bombings and the whole gambit of fanatical insanity common in most of these deviant groups scattered among the sewers of the planet.

These people murdered, by suicide bomber no less, 241 Marines in Lebanon on a peace keeping mission in 1983. They murdered unarmed US sailor Robert Dean. These people have a billboard posted just inside Lebanon right by the border with Israel featuring a Hezbollah terrorist holding the severed head of an Israeli commando. There are limits to my tolerance for stupidity and this moron has shattered them practically beyond repair.

I wonder if this jackass thinks we should sit down and have tea and crumpets with al Qaeda. Yeah, he probably does. But then again none of his loved ones had to jump a thousand feet out of a burning building or had their heads cut off for a video “presentation” with a butcher knife. No one can be this stupid.

So I have to wonder what his real angle is. Why would he want to negotiate with people who only want to kill others because they seem to think that their version of god is too weak to handle his retribution himself. They seem to think that this almighty god they worship needs their help in killing people who don’t believe the same as they do. I don’t know what his reasons are but I have a sneaking suspicion that some of their likes and dislikes may resemble one another.

There is no way to negotiate with a deviant group that only wants to kill you because they “think” their god wants you killed because you don’t believe the way they do. Maybe this educated moron would believe the Jews could have negotiated with Adolf Hitler to stop the exterminations back in the 40’s. After all, Hitler, bin Laden, and every other spittle chinned, screaming shoe bomber on the planet have similar objectives. Destroy Jews, people in Europe, and the US. The only difference is their particular color of fascism.

Other stupid quotes from Perry:

“We`ll have the Americans and the Israelis engagement with a group that has legitimacy on the ground. Because they`ve been elected by their people, they have legitimacy on the ground. That goes for Hamas, and Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood, Jamaat-e-Islami in Pakistan. It`s time to talk and stop fighting.”

Hey stupid, the three groups you’ve named are all terrorist groups. They have all killed civilians on purpose. Because they elected them? Well that says more about the people than it does anything. An entire nation should be careful to elect a terrorist organization into power. Remember Afghanistan’s alliance with al Qaeda? Taliban corpses still litter the wasteland over there.

This idiot is not alone. By no means. However, I can more easily deal with watching some terrorist on TV going on about Jewish conspiracies and death to the west orgies in the streets. It is the intellectual moronic pinheads that I cannot deal with. The closet sympathizers and passive aggressive pseudo-pacifists who would let their own children be disemboweled before finding the testicular fortitude to defend their homes.

It is these two groups of people who are going to give terrorists their foothold in the US and the rest of the world. It is these fools who will facilitate the continued growth of terrorist movements, not the other way around as they claim.

They want to have a cup of coffee with Hezbollah, al Qaeda, and every other festering wound on the ass of humanity in order to negotiate. Negotiate what? The rounding up of Jews and the best places to shop and blow up in the US?

Have a cup of coffee with terrorists? You’d be better off having one with the devil. He has more mercy.

Good Intentions Pave the Way

The internet is like the real world in so many ways. Like the good there is too the bad. Only with the net there is the added bonus of anonymity. There are all kinds of “forwarded” emails. The majority of which are nonsense. Like the one about the sick little girl that with every forwarded email will benefit because AOL is tracking it and will pay so much per email. Each AOL payment is supposed to be donated to the family of the sick little girl. The whole thing is a lie.

Why do people forward such things? To fill in the time. To get entertainment. And so on. It is electronic gossip. Just like in the real world there are fairy tales and urban legends so too there is on the net.

One of them, like the focus of this blog, is about gangs.

It goes like this:

Subject: Driving Tip
One of our employees whose husband works for the City of Cincinnati received the following message and we, Administrative Services, feels that it is worth passing on to you, your friends and families:
"If you're ever driving after dark and see an on-coming car with no headlights turned on, DO NOT flash your lights at them! This is a common gang member "initiation game" that goes like this: the new gang member under initiation drives along with no headlights and the first car to flash their headlights at him is now his "target." He is now required to turn around and chase that car and shoot at or into the car in order to complete his initiation requirements. Please share this information with people you know."
Stay safe!
Administrative Services

Of course there are several variations of this initiation rumor. Most of which can be found debunked at a great website called http://www.snopes.com/
One of the websites exposing urban legends on the internet goes on to say that copycat incidents may have actually came out of the spreading of this email and the variants of it. So what does that tell us?

That spreading rumors without so much as checking the veracity of them can in fact lead to dangerous consequences. Intended or not.

Recently I was chastised for commenting on one similar internet rumor because I responded to the “chain’ of recipients. I pointed out that it was not true. The response I got from one person basically said that it was still a nice gesture that the email was sent out to everyone. (Because it warned of a tactic of a serial killer and how to avoid it…problem was it was completely the opposite of how serial killers stalk their prey).

I corrected this person and told her that spreading “facts” that lead people astray is in no way nice and in fact could be dangerous. She couldn’t get past the idea that this silly email chain letter was somehow a good thing. She said that the intention was good, to remind people to be more aware of their surroundings, even if the information was wrong.

I don’t get it. She needs misinformation to remind her to be more aware? What a paradox.

Some people would rather feel good about something and ignore the truth than actually take the time and LEARN the facts. Sometimes reality is too much for people.

Like in this case of the “serial killer” email, this woman “felt better” because she would never act the way the victim did in the email. But that wouldn’t matter because it had nothing to do with reality. And consequently, she would change nothing.

She could very well be a killer’s meal waiting to happen. Because the only thing she knows to look for to protect herself is a lie.

Because people want to pick and choose their own reality they endanger themselves. When they spread rumor with “good intentions” as she called it, they endanger others. Like the serial killer email. Like the gang initiation email.

The most ironic thing about this whole incident was that this woman actually told me I was betraying one of my own favorite quotes I use in my email signatures.

"The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing. "
Albert Einstein

She couldn’t get it. To see lies spread as fact, facts which can endanger people, and NOT correct it would be the equivalent of “looking on and doing nothing.”

So when lies are spread that endanger people, I WILL NOT look on and do nothing.

She was willing to perpetuate a myth, feed it, and empower it for the sake of “good intentions.”

She should use this quote as her email signature line…

“The road to hell is paved with good intentions.”
